The Mayor of Oakland is getting some pointed advice
In October, protests in New York and DC seized on the tenth anniversary of the beginning of terror. In New York 9/11 was tacit, the focus being Wall Street. In DC 9/11 also was tacit because the focus was not the false flag, instead was the Afghan war itself. What pipeline? And what then happened? The DC protest has been subsumed by Wall Street: the war in our name on strangers is now a close second to the war on us by Wall Street.
The immediate spread of the combined OWS across the US has been a surprise. Who would have expected the mayor of Oakland to become a national pariah? In a way, Occupy Wall Street Plus has broken the third party bugaboo by staying out of politics.
Vashon needs a home-grown OWSP. We’re headed that way, having sent our political parties to the transfer station, but all we have is a loose amalgam of SEEDS, Backbone, and a dozen doing-gooders with VMICC. For my money we build up Preserve Our Islands then expand it North, picking up Bainbridge, Whidbey and Camano, even Fidalgo, and blow that coal terminal out of the water.
